An impressive 101 archers shot perfect 300s yesterday. Compare that to the 86 who shot clean on the first day last year.
In the championship compound open division, Kyle Douglas is out front with 30 Xs yesterday. He’s followed by five archers who shot 29 Xs, incuding past champions Chance Beaubouef and Bodie Turner.
Paige Pearce leads the championship compound female division with a 29 X score. “I am super happy with it. The goal is to come here and make sure they all hit the big ten all day. I was kind of hoping for a good X count and I was able to pull that off. I feel like when you are hitting a lot of the Xs, you have a better chance of keeping them in the 10 ring,” Pearce said.
Tied for second are last year’s champion, Liko Arreola, and last night’s 10K Shoot Off winner, Elisa Roner.
In the compound senior division, Bill Drake Benton Christensen are the two archers who shot clean yesterday. They are followed by six archers who shot 299s.
An impressive four archers shot clean in the championship young adult compound. That group is led by Elias Reyes with 23 Xs, and Haley West is in second with 22 Xs.
There are ten archers clean in the compound flights, and one in the bowhunter flights.
