The 2019 Indoor Archery World Series is the rebranded open-entry indoor circuit that will tour around the world before landing in Las Vegas, Nevada in February 2019 for its grand final.
The indoor world tour started with the GT Open in Strassen, Luxembourg on November 23-25, and the Macau Open in Macau, China on December 1-2, which gave participant archers points for the elite ranking that will decide the top-16 finalists for Vegas.
At the GT Open, Vegas Shoot 2018 recurve championship winner Steve Wijler, the USA’s Casey Kaufhold, Croatian compound man Domagoj Buden and Slovenia’s Toja Ellison took titles.
Two-time compound open champion Mike Schloesser, 2018 compound female champion Alexis Ruiz, and Koreans Oh Jin Hyek and Jeon Hunyoung secured Macau Open wins.
All eight archers now lead the Indoor World Series elite ranking, which will be updated by World Archery after each event.
The next stop of the indoor tour is in Rome, Italy for the Roma Archery Trophy on December 15-16.
Any archer can compete at The Vegas Shoot 2019 and those who shoot in the championship divisions are eligible for the Indoor Archery World Series Final.
