In 2025, The Vegas Shoot, on behalf of the NFAA Foundation, will award over $65,000Â in scholarships and prizes to more than 100 athletes in the junior and collegiate divisions. It remains the largest annual scholarship event for archers.

Each year, archers from around the world compete at the highest level, but the event also provides a remarkable opportunity for young athletes to further their education.
For over two decades, the NFAA Foundation, in partnership with the Easton Foundation, has been committed to supporting student-athletes in archery.Â
Thanks to an initial $200,000 grant from the Easton Foundation, the NFAA launched its scholarship program, awarding over $1,000,000 to more than 1,000 student-athletes since 2000.
"Our mission is to encourage archers to continue their education while rewarding their passion, dedication, and hard work in the sport," said Bruce Cull, NFAA executive director.
"And we’re not stopping here. Our goal is to grow this program, creating even more opportunities for student-athletes worldwide."
The Junior Scholarship Contest: Share Your Story, Win $1,000
One of the most meaningful scholarships offered at The Vegas Shoot is the Junior Scholarship Contest. Each year, one male and one female archer are awarded a $1,000 scholarship based on their personal stories that reflect their journey in archery and its impact on their lives.
Last year's winners, Kavi Badhwar and Natalie Rose Chicombing, captivated the judges with compelling essays about how archery has shaped their personal and academic lives.
This year, applicants must submit a personal statement and highlight an example of community impact or involvement. If you’re passionate about archery and education, this is your chance to share your story and earn support for your future.
Deadline:Â February 17, 2025, at 9:00 AM CST
Eligibility:Â Open to archers aged 12-17 competing in The Vegas Shoot 2025

Expanding Opportunities for Junior and Collegiate Archers
Beyond the Junior Scholarship Contest, The Vegas Shoot ensures that podium finishes in the junior and collegiate divisions are rewarded for their dedication and performance.Â
In 2025, the scholarship pool has grown significantly, with the junior divisions alone receiving a collective $54,000 in funding.
For junior archers, top three performances in compound, recurve, bowhunter, and barebow recurve categories will earn scholarships:
1st Place:Â $1,000
2nd Place:Â $750
3rd Place:Â $500
Additionally, collegiate archers will see an increase in scholarship funds in 2025. The collegiate prize pool now stands at $12,400, with an additional $1,550 dedicated to a team travel scholarship to help students reach the event and compete on a national stage.
